Interesting Article on Open Source Tools in Archaeology

While reading through R-bloggers, I came across an interesting article:

Doing quantitative archaeology with open source software by ATOR not only lists several open-source tools that can be applied in Archaeology, they also explain why this is a good idea.

Especially their argument about click trails hit a spot with me. This is something I have been working on a lot lately with my own research, trying to find ways to make it reproducible. I found this is especially useful for myself, since I had several cases where I needed to reproduce either an analysis or a figure and had quite a hard time to find out how I did it in the first place…
